ABOUT US
The North Hills Ebony Women, Inc. was founded in 1979 and has provided over 30 years of programming and sisterhood. The organization is a support, service and social organization for women of similar interest and background who are devoted to the continuous recognition of African-American heritage, education and unity. Over the years the membership has changed, but dedication to our mission has remained strong.
Our members are very active in Pittsburgh and the northern area communities in which they reside as mothers, wives, professionals, volunteers and collectively as members of NHEW, Inc. As a group we present programs on the Life and Times of Martin Luther King, Jr. to local schools, provide scholarships, mentoring, support programs, and collaborate with other North Hills organizations to host the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Unity Breakfast and Multicultural Festival.
