North Hills Ebony Women, Inc. founded in 1979, is a support, service and social organization for women of similar interests and background who are devoted to the continuous recognition of African American heritage, education, and unity. North Hills Ebony Women, Inc. is a not-for-profit 501(c) 3 organization. Forward tax deductible contributions to the NHEW Scholarship Fund.

North Hills Ebony Women, Inc. will provide two (2) $750 scholarships to high school seniors who exhibit academic and community excellence

Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for the Norma Jean Ware Duncan Scholarship, the student must:
- Be a resident of the surrounding Northern Region of Pittsburgh (see below)
- Be an African American high school senior
- Attends a public school, charter school, cyber school or Vincentian Academy
- Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.8
- Plan to enroll full-time at a accredited post secondary institution
- Demonstrate academic and community excellence

- Be an African American high school senior
- Attends a public school, charter school, or cyber school
- Have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.8
- Plan to enroll full-time at a accredited post secondary institution
- Demonstrate academic and community excellence
Application Packets
Applicants must submit the following documents by the April 15th deadline to be considered for the scholarship:
- Completed Scholarship Application
- Official Transcript
- A 400 word typed essay
- Two (2) letters of recommendation
- Copy of college acceptance letter
